Izradit će vlastiti zvučni objekt/instrument, oblikovati njegovo sučelje i odlučiti o pojedinim zvučnim parametrima.

Tentacle Oscillators: Workshop with Tara Pattenden
On Friday, 19 June 2026 at 6 PM, Radiona will host Tentacle Oscillators, a workshop led by Australian artist Tara Pattenden.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will make touch-based instruments using printed circuit boards that Tara Pattenden will bring with her to Radiona. Tara uses these boards to create playful tentacle-like instruments, while participants will also be able to develop their own ideas for soft, tactile sound interfaces.
Through a soft circuitry approach, participants will create a touch interface that controls the pitch of a square wave oscillator. They will build their own sound object/instrument, shape its interface, and decide on selected sound parameters.
Participants are welcome to bring a hat, soft object, textile item, or something that can be held, squeezed, worn, or grabbed, which may become part of the touch interface of their instrument. If you do not have anything suitable, we will provide materials for you.
Applications are open until Friday, 19 June 2026 at noon via the following link: https://forms.gle/ZrG6bcZaHZ3EZWG77
No previous experience is required for the workshop, and participants will take their musical device home. The participation fee is 15 EUR.
About the workshop leader:
Tara Pattenden is an artist and creative technologist working with tactile electronic instruments, programming, time-based media, and performance. As Phantom Chips, she performs with electronic costume-based instruments and participatory sound works that invite audiences to experience sound through touch, movement, and play. Her work combines wearable technologies and participatory practices to explore audience agency, expression, and co-authored performance.
She is the founder of Cyber Palace, a creative technology workshop studio, and Cyber Bunker, a project space for experimental practice in Meanjin/Brisbane. Her workshops and performances have been presented internationally, including at Norberg Festival, Onassis Stegi Cultural Centre, Victoria and Albert Museum, CTM Festival, Tectonics, Café OTO, Pohoda Festival, and Le Guess Who?.
She has a background in computer and interactive art and is self-taught in electronics. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University, where her research explores wearable, costume-based electronic instruments and participatory sound performance.
