Code of Conduct

Radiona – Zagreb Makerspace is an inclusive organisation and community where everyone is welcome and should feel safe. Everyone is expected to be friendly and respectful towards each other. This applies to all of Radiona’s physical meetings, events and the like, as well as all online communication channels and virtual activities. Non-members violating this code of conduct may be asked to leave immediately. Members violating this code of conduct may be subject to disciplinary proceedings including termination of membership. Everyone at Radiona, members or otherwise, are obliged to follow this code of conduct.

  • Our lab is a safe and welcoming place for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, race, nationality, ethnic minority, subculture, geographical region, knowledge, marital status, family status, social status or religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.
  • We expect everyone to maintain an environment of mutual respect, tolerance, encouragement and friendliness. Be nice to each other. Do not insult or act in a derogatory manner towards anyone else.
  • Sexual language and imagery should only be used for positive purposes in accordance with best practices advocated by professional sex educators (if you’re not sure what those are, don’t do it).
  • We do not tolerate harassment of people at our events or space in any form, including talks, workshops, performances, exhibitions, presentations and other online media (social media networks).
  • Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, race, nationality, ethnic minority, subculture, geographical region, knowledge, technology choices, social status, religion, sexual images in public spaces (including slides and profile/avatar pictures), deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
  • You are expected to deal with disagreements in a friendly and respectful manner.
  • People asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
  • People violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the space or the event at the discretion of any Radiona – Zagreb Makerspace member.
  • If you wish to report harassment anonymously or privately, you can send a message to radiona.org (at) gmail.com
  • Radiona has a clean as you go policy. You are expected to leave any work area, bench, desk, room etc. clean and tidy for the next person to use. Remember Radiona is a shared space. Leave the place as you would like to find it. Put tools, equipment and your property back in it’s place when you are finished.
  • Report broken or damaged items to its owner or the directors. Stuff breaks through regular wear and tear, we just want to replace it quickly!
  • If you bring visitors onto the premises, note that they may not clean up after themselves. As their host, you are responsible for cleaning up after them.
  • Treat all property and equipment in the space with the same respect that you would treat your own property. Note however that your property at Radiona is there entirely at your own risk.
  • Do not use other members property without their permission.
  • If you are unsure as to ownership of something or whether to dispose of something, ask first.
  • Visitors are not allowed to leave their property in the space.
