Skanzen – Hungarian Open-air Museum job shadowing and study visit @ Radiona.org

Curators and museum educators – Zsuzsanna Batari, Márta Kramlik and Annamária Szu from Skanzen – Hungarian Open-air Museum are partaking job shadowing program and study visit at Radiona this week.

Makerspace workshops also have relevance in specific locations, such as museums. We have explored this possibility in the project Creative Making for Lifelong Learning. We have an active collaboration with one of our partners, the Hungarian Open Air Museum, even after the project has closed. In 2024, Creative Director of Radiona – Deborah Hustic visited the museum to facilitate a workshop and professional advice on the design of a makerspace workshop based on traditional craft techniques. In February 2025, the museum staff will visit Radiona to learn about the operation of the makerspace in practice, and the results, experiences and emerging problems of its community-building projects. Other areas of their interest include the design and operation of community-based offline and online exhibitions, community engagement methods for disadvantaged groups, and the combination of makerspace approaches with traditional craft techniques.
