Radiona Repair Café joined Repair Café International Foundation Network

We joined with our Repair Café the international network of similar initiatives or institutions guided by the Repair Café International Foundation. It is the global community of local groups that organise their own repairing sessions or activities.

Repair Café International Foundation was founded in 2010 and is based in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. It wants to make repair a part of the local community once again. It aims to maintain and spread repair expertise, and to promote social cohesion by bringing together neighbours from all walks of life and sets of motivations in the form of inspiring and accessible meetings.

The initiator and founder of the Repair Café concept is a Dutch journalist and environmentalist Martine Postma. She organised and presented the very first Repair Café in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 2009, and after that in only few years the whole idea of repairing and organising grassroots repairing events spread around the Europe.

As Radiona has its own visual identity with the lab’s mascot badger ORI being in charge for the repairing, and we will implement the Repair Café Foundation logo in future announcements.
