On Dec 12, 2023 Timelab (BE) is inviting you to participate in our collaborative wiki workshop. From 9 am to 12:30 we will set up a series of working groups on the following topics. 

– Technical intro about wiki by Geert Van Pamel, wikimedia foundation Belgium (NL) and Wilson Oluoha from WikiAfrica (EN). In this hands-on session you will learn how to make your organisation more visible on multiple wiki platforms.

– Mapping multiple platforms used by makers all over the world, guided by Yasmin Bayoumi from Timelab, Ghent (EN) and Deborah Hustic from Radiona.org, Zagreb (EN)

– Meaning of critical making based on research on queer theory, social innovation, generative justice using wiki data research. With Z. Blace (EN) and Evi Swinnen (NL).

– Content and meaning of open knowledge for our local maker movement. The workshop is about the power of open knowledge and how we can develop it together, with Simon Grant. (EN)

Practical

The organiser is welcoming you at 9:00 am at Timelab, Kogelstraat 34, 9000 Ghent and offer you lunch at 12:30 to close the session. If you cannot make it in real life, Timelab is organizing an online participation. Let them know upfront by emailing team@timelab.org
