Statement and support for Home of Sound and the Ukrainian people

We are expressing our support to the Ukrainian organisation Home of Sound (Lviv) and Ukrainian people as we are witnessing on a daily basis the situation they are faced with. We are in solidarity with Ukrainian people and we will continue to support the engagement of artists, arts organisations, and non-profit associations.

Statement on Ukraine

As of Spring 2025, Ukraine continues to face a full-scale war initiated by Russia, marked by the violent seizure of its territory and a persistent threat to civilians, who remain direct targets of military attacks. This reality profoundly impacts Ukrainian organisations, presenting challenges that may not be fully evident to other partners. As a collaborative partnership, we affirm our unequivocal support for Ukraine’s right to self-determination and freedom from violence. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible working environment, while ensuring our stance clearly defines Russia’s actions as war, in recognition of their scale and intent.

The Home of Sound was founded on the basis of Lviv Radio and RadioGarage. The main areas of activity of the Home of Sound are interdisciplinary exhibitions and installations. It is a space for sound and media laboratories with residencies for interdisciplinary artists digitizing sound library archives and their actualisation through events. The venue has a recording studio and it hosts performances (sound, media, interdisciplinary).
