Having had the honor of a residency at Radiona in Zagreb for the past month, a realm of exploration unfolded before me, where the boundaries of my artistic practic were explored, expanded and reimagined. This immersive experience, intertwined with generative AI technologies such as LLMs and GANs, and enriched by sharing my cognitive entanglements  with fellow makers and creatives, has been a crucible of learning and innovation.

Knowledge Design represents an evolution in the design paradigm, marked by a profound integration of  AI technological innovations such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), embeddings, and vectorial databases. 

In this enriched design paradigm, designers morph into meta-creators, orchestrating a multitude of elements to craft intelligent conversational interfaces. They collaborate closely with machine learning engineers, navigating the complexities of algorithms, and fostering a synergy that propels the design towards enhanced interactivity and cognitive resonance. This collaboration necessitates a deeper understanding of the underlying technologies, such as LLMs, which facilitate natural language understanding, and GANs, which enable the generation of authentic synthetic media.

The role of embeddings and vectorial databases is also pivotal, serving as the foundation upon which knowledge is structured, accessed, and integrated into the conversational design.

A critical aspect of this evolution is the conceptual framing of intelligent conversations within the design interfaces. Designers, become almost screenwriters, theater directors,  in this capacity, engage in defining the psychology of the models, ensuring that the interfaces resonate with a sense of understanding, empathy, and contextual relevance. This process involves curating the narratives, defining the personas, and structuring the interactions to foster a coherent and engaging user experience.

In conclusion, Knowledge Design emerges as a transformative concept, signifying a shift towards a more integrated, AI enriched design paradigm. It embodies a confluence of technology and creativity, where designers navigate a symphony of technological innovations to craft designs that resonate with intelligence, interactivity, and cognitive contextual awareness.
